2014 Chateau Doisy-Vedrines Sauternes

Wine not just get to the point!

Rating: 3.9 outta 5
1 star1 star1 starhalf star

From: France; Bordeaux; Sauternes; Barsac

Grapes: 85% Semillon and 15% Sauvignon Blanc

Cost: $25

Alcohol: 13.5%

Aromas: Clementine, vanilla, candied peach, honey, slight clover or maybe grass, orange peel.

Taste: Candied clementine, orange peel or grapefruit, honey, citrus lingers, something herbal or even floral in the taste, creamy, like burnt orange creme brûlée

Other Stuff: Great loooooooong finish. The critics love this one too. I probably (definitely) drank all of mine too soon. I’ve had to find some more to hold on to.

We had this with chicken and potato curry. The curry really brought out the warmth and spice on the finish of this one.
