2013 Marimar Estate Mas Cavalls Pinot Noir
Wine not just get to the point!
Rating: 3.99999 outta 5
From: California; Sonoma Coast
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Cost: $40 – $47
Taste: This is a solidly delicious wine. Earthy more than fruity. Would decant it, but I won’t be drinking the whole thing tonight.
Presidential Style: Is this Barack? It’s kinda serious but cool. But, maybe it’s a little too raw for him. Maybe this is TR. Sophisticated but still a little rough around the edges.
Other Stuff: The 20-acre Doña Margarite vineyard these grapes come from is only 6 miles from the Pacific ocean. This is an unfiltered wine. A new experience for my wife who was surprised to find stuff in her empty glass.
Other cool stuff… “Mas Cavalls” is the Catalan name for Horse Farm. Honoring the equestrian center that lies right below the vineyard.
